Mike and the Modelmakers was commissioned by Matachbox company Lesney Products, and was published in 1970. The story of how Matchbox cars are made is told in the form of a letter from a boy called Mike to his friend Ben. Mike's father has taken him to London and they go and visit the Lesney Matchbox factory. Sasek tells the story with his usual wit and humour, along with his typically wonderful illustrations!
This copy is in good vintage condition with very little fading to the cover. Inside, there is a small amount of water damage and limited foxing.
